In the north of Martinique, Cabosse, daughter of the tenacious little cocoa tree, finds herself separated from her family following a tropical wave. This story is the story of his journey back to his fairy tale forest. We are well aware of the Odyssey of Ulysses and the extraordinary journeys of Sindbad, but who will say the perilous journey of Cabosse, carried away from his forest of fairy tales?
Cabosse is a tiny little girl in the big world. But although vulnerable, she is courageous, tenacious and intelligent, agreeing to learn from her adventures.
She's a little Caribbean girl. Although rooted in its territory, it makes it possible to offer role models to all little girls from immigrant backgrounds or belonging to communities for which identification materials are lacking.
Constantly confronted with otherness, she shows the importance of relationships with others: her encounters make her progress even as she improves the world she lives in.
From the magical tarantulas to the melodious blackbird passing by the selfish crab or the storytelling mongoose are the characters that accompany Cabosse on his return trip through the different forests of Martinique.
